Heavy Equipment Operator

A. Lindberg & Sons Inc. seeks to fill multiple openings for skilled Heavy Equipment Operators in Aggregate Crushing Operations, Civil Construction, and Earthwork Projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily inspections, maintenance, fueling and operation of equipment.
  • Operate equipment such as articulated haul-truck, scrapers, dozers, excavators, loaders, etc. on a variety of Heavy Civil, Crushing and Screening, and Infrastructure projects.
  • Set up and inspect equipment prior to operation.
  • Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to learn, follow, and promote all company safety policies as well as OSHA, MIOSHA, and MSHA regulations.
  • Work as part of a team and follow directions from the foreman
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite, trailer, equipment, etc.
  • May assist other craft workers
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required and work long hours, 5-6 days per week.
  • Ability to work in all environmental conditions for 10 or more hours a day.
  • Good work ethic, punctual and alert.
  • Must be a member of respective trade union or willing to join.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekends as needed
