Assistant Project Manager

A. Lindberg & Sons Inc. seeks to fill an opening for an Assistant Project Manager. This position will work with the project manager, foreman, and crew to successfully complete a wide range of construction projects. Projects will include, Highways and Bridges, Heavy Civil, Site Civil, and Public Infrastructure projects.

Duties:

  • Work with the Project Manager, Foreman, and Crew to successfully complete projects on budget and on schedule
  • Assist and coordinate all stages of construction projects including bidding, construction, closeout, and all other aspects
  • Estimating, including quantity take-offs, subcontractor, and supplier solicitations
  • Job Setup, including materials ordering and scheduling, permitting, certifications, job cost studies, verifying weekly production
  • Field Work, including basic surveying, grade checking, verifying field conditions, supervision, and assisting craft labor as necessary
  • Ability to communicate and convey information effectively with Clients, Owners, Consultants, Subcontractors, and Suppliers
  • Ability to keep neat and accurate construction records and field notes
  • Ability to learn and follow all company safety policies as well as OSHA, MIOSHA, and MSHA regulations.
  • Work in conjunction and as a team with all employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Surveying (Preferred)
  • Construction Experience 3 Years (Preferred)
  • Surveying or Construction Staking Experience with Total Stations, GPS, or Drone (Preferred)
  • Experience with Autocad Civil 3d (Preferred)
  • Proficient with Microsoft office products and Adobe

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
